The Company
The company is an award-winning Singaporean firm that has built a reputation around urban planning and township development whilst concurrently expanding its portfolio to include a vertically-integrated suite of services that covers urban planning, architectural design, construction and infrastructure project management, building technology, supply chain and resource management through to facility management. Its geographical expansion from a Singapore base has been similarly impressive and this now includes much of Asia, UAE and Africa. It is continuing to grow and now requires a number of individuals to fulfill current and future projects. One of these is a Project Leader to be based in Abu Dhabi.
The Position
This Project Leader will oversee various projects in Abu Dhabi and this will include managing a range of international design, construction and infrastructure consultants, the management of site teams, acting as steward to maintain appropriate quality assurance records and standards, managing and defining all project requirements and the scheduling of authority submissions, drawings, samples and mock-ups as well as acting as arbiter and troubleshooter for complex design and technical issues as they arise. In addition, the project Leader will monitor project construction to ensure it meets all planning and building regulation guidelines and that each phase meets quality standards.
The Person
It is anticipated that interested candidates will possess a degree complete with architectural training and a minimum of 12-15+ years experience in design management as well as building, infrastructure project management. Any additional exposure gained within environmental, landscaping, marine, signage or parking consultancy will be considered favourably. Importantly, the selected candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong leadership qualities. There is a preference for Singaporean or Malaysian candidates as, over time, it is anticipated that the successful individual may be re-deployed to other projects within Asia, notably Singapore and China.
