QUANTITY SURVEYOR - E & I ( QS E&I )

- Ensures activities during assigned project execution are consistently performed in compliance with the established procedures.

- Responsible for E&I Quantity Surveying deliverables being prepared correctly as required by the contract and internal requirements.
- Progressively re-measure the unit rate scope based on design and fabrication documents. v Conducts site measures as required, and/ors take-offs from drawings leading to the preparation of bill of quantities. v Maintain database of the bills of estimated quantities and comprehensive and accurate files, logs and records.v Review the feasibility of the Contract schedule of unit rates.
- Estimating “star rates” for work items not included in the Contract schedule of rates. v Interfacing with the Client quantity surveying representatives with regards to agreements to measured quantities and associated estimated values of work completed. v Maintains a close
working relationship with Batam project engineering, the detailing office, the MTO group and other Fabrication departments as required, in order to retrieve and maintain accurate records of the latest updated drawing and MTO data.
- Provides variance analysis (including quantity analysis, man hour analysis and remeasurement analysis) and recommends corrective actions for deviations from plan or budget.

- Assists in the preparation of the final project close-out report.

- Mentor & guide Quantity surveying personnel on a daily basis.

¤ 3+ years experience in progress measurement, tracking installed quantities, interpreting construction drawings, and invoicing based on unit rates at a construction job site

¤ Good knowledge of project progress measurement software applications as well as all Microsoft
Office products

Job Description

Requirements
- Professional Qualification or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field. Requires a minimum of 10 years experience on commercial / contracts management and cost control on major industrial construction projects.
- Deep knowledge of commercial management both pre-contract and post contract. Oversees the cost and contractual functions of a business group or region or large complex projects.
- Responsible for Cost control including change management, contract administration up to final account stage.
- Preparation of detailed cost and financial reports for Clients and senior management.
- Good working interface with design, estimating and procurement functions.
- Involvement in preparation of tender submissions and proposals to Clients
- Good working knowledge of both International and Local Forms of Contract. Experience in design & build (EPC) and EPCM contracts would be an added advantage.

Job Description

A specialist consultancy to the property & construction industry providing services for the full life cycle of a project. Currently, we are in search of Associate / Director Level Quantity Surveyors / Project Managers to join the teams in the Hong Kong, China & India offices and assist in Key Business Development Activities.

Job Duties

·Proven Business Development skills throughout the region;

·Assist with supervision of the QS / PM departments.

·Be a team player and integral member of the business unit;

·Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;

·Self-motivated, open-minded and hardworking.

Requirements

Degree holder;

.Member of professional bodies preferable (HKIS/RICS/MCIOB would be preferable);

·Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in Hong Kong / China / Singapore / Vietnam.

·Outstanding communication skills. Candidates must speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin with the capability to read/write Chinese.

·A background in networking for Hong Kong, China & India is highly preferred.

·International work experience (esp. in China, Vietnam, India and China) is highly preferred.

·Will be focused on quality - have pride in what you do together with a ‘can do’ attitude.
